OVERVIEW

Project Japan is centered on the “ekballo” mandate: to see laborers raised up and equipped with a force that cannot be resisted in one of the most unreached nations in the world. This project requires a full-time commitment to lead people from encountering Jesus, through ongoing transformation, to being established in a healthy church.

THE CHALLENGE

Millions across the nation have no idea who Jesus is and have never heard the Gospel even once. Japan presents a unique complexity of deep-rooted secularism and spiritual isolation. In many regions, there is not only a need for bold evangelism, but also a lack of deep, intimate discipleship where believers experience a tangible, personal relationship with God on a daily basis.

The initial challenge is for the Japanese to not see Christianity as a “religion from the West,” or church as merely a place with fun programs and activities, but rather as a place to encounter the living God.
